SEND Family Mornings – More Coming Soon!

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for our SEND Family Picnic and SEND Family Mornings this summer. The response to these events has shown us just how valuable relaxed and inclusive opportunities like these can be.

Our SEND mornings are designed for families with children or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to enjoy Hazel Brow Farm at their own pace, without pressure, judgement or expectations.

There is no set timetable or requirement to take part in anything. Families can meet the animals, explore the farm, enjoy a drink, chat with other families or simply find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales surroundings. Our aim is simply to provide a friendly, understanding environment where everyone feels welcome.

Thanks to funding from our National Lottery Awards for All Care Farming project, these opportunities have been completely free to attend.

Following the lovely response we’ve received, we’re hoping to hold more SEND Family Mornings very soon! We’re currently putting together our autumn and winter calendar around our care groups, school visits and other activities, and we’ll announce new dates as soon as these are confirmed.

We’d love to continue developing these opportunities, so please keep checking our website and social media pages for upcoming dates.
